WORKING WITH US

Working with us

Come and join our family...

Our Trust values its core asset: its staff. The dedication, expertise and skill that our staff bring to the Trust and develop within it, are vital to providing our children with the best deal possible. We aim to offer opportunities and experiences at all points within a teacher’s career in order to continually support them to grow towards their own career aspirations.

We value the drive, commitment and care of our workforce and offer the same values back to our staff through a range of development opportunities at all levels – 'putting people first'.

Our Core Offer
Being part of the Lingfield Trust teaching workforce, at any level, affords you the opportunity to access and be part of:

  • A clear commitment to networking with colleagues in the same year group across the Trust. Termly ‘best practice’ sessions in English and Mathematics’ allow teachers to come together – to develop together. Networks are also in place for SEND, Early Years, NQTs, Curriculum Leadership, Pupil Premium and Assessment.

  • All teaching staff have opportunities to become involved in specific trust tasks and projects. Examples include curriculum development, ‘Teachmeet’ events and ‘task and finish’ opportunities to impact on Trust wide initiatives.

  • Regular professional development opportunities to meet your needs – accessing training events across our family of schools. We take your career progression seriously and match your drive with our support.

  • A regular update service: ‘The Lingfield Lowdown’, keeping you abreast of current thinking and best practice, as well as ‘real time’ OFSTED messages from a current OFSTED inspector.

  • An outward looking trust – which values the voice of the entire workforce.

  • A dedicated and personable ‘School Improvement Team’ to support staff at all levels.

An employer of choice
We want the best people to work with us but we recognise that in order for that to happen, we have to be the best place to work. We believe that we are; our vision and values speak for themselves, but so do some of these teaching employee benefits…

  • ‘Early Starts’ for NQTs and teachers returning to teaching. Induction and support should start prior to September and as such, so should your pay. An honorarium is available to recognise the time required in the holidays to be ready for your class in September. Induction for NQTs will start prior to the end of the summer term.

  • Competitive pay rates, we always implement the STPC recommendations in full.

  • Full salary Paternity Pay. Two weeks paternity pay at full salary, as opposed to the statutory paternity pay (SSP) rate.

  • A commitment to flexible working, to support work-life balance.

  • Childcare voucher scheme.

  • A contribution towards a laptop / device to support your work/life balance. As an NQT, if you don’t have the technology you need to work at home, we will help you, in order for you to be able to be more flexible in your working.

  • Access to the Trust counselling service.

  • Social events – for Trust staff to meet up and network less formally.

  • Interviewed once – if you are interviewed for a post and are unsuccessful, your information, with your agreement, is shared with other schools within the Trust in relation to other posts available.

“It is a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together."
